Backstage
Every photograph has a story the final frame does not show: the light being set, the make-up chair, the crew, the moments between takes. This is the other side of my work.
In the studio
The working process in the photo studio: setting the light, directing the models, hair and make-up before the shoot.
Traditional Moroccan caftans
Behind the scenes of a shoot of traditional Moroccan caftans, true handmade masterpieces: embroidery in glittering thread, the finest patterns, precious stones and hand-dyed fabrics. Every caftan is a priceless piece of Morocco’s cultural heritage.
Russian Men, on location
Behind the scenes of my art project Russian Men, in an old industrial hall.
After The Imajaghan Nobleman shoot
A moment after The Imajaghan Nobleman shoot, with actor and model Moulay Mohamed still in character make-up.
A studio that launched new faces
About eleven or twelve years ago my photo studio in Casablanca was a real factory for discovering new faces: models for film and actors for the fashion world. It was a time of searching for talent, bold experiments and big hopes. I launched several dozen names in Morocco. One of the more recent discoveries is the model from McDonald’s.
